Michael’s Implant story

I was initially referred to Dr Peter Young by my own dentist Andy McCrae at Sandiway in Cheshire. Andy had been looking after a problem tooth for a while which had been suffering from a series of abscesses. In the end Andy had no alternative but to remove the tooth.

Dr  McCrae fitted a plate to fill the gap that was left by the missing tooth which I persisted with for two months, but I just couldn’t get on with it at all. I had no confidence in it when I was eating and ended up taking it out, which was far from ideal in social occasions.

I decided to look at an implant as an alternative to the plate, so Dr McCrae recommended a couple of implant providers. I went to see Dr Young first. I instantly felt that I was in the right place as soon as I walked through the door. The team were welcoming and friendly – my first impression was very good indeed. Dr Young then met me for my consultation and we went through the implant procedure and costings in the detail that I needed to decide that I wanted to go ahead. I trusted Dr Young and felt that I was in safe hands.

In terms of the procedure itself, I imagined that it was going to be painful. I needn’t have worried – I honestly didn’t feel a thing.   Now the implant is complete I am absolutely delighted – I can eat what I want without a second thought.

I have just been for my annual check up which showed that the implant was absolutely fine. As usual the staff were brilliant – they always remember your name and are there to chat and put you at your ease. They even make you a coffee if you want one!

I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Young to anyone, in fact  it’s the best decision I ever made.
