Lynn’s Implant story
I first came to Dr Young’s surgery after a referral from my own dentist- Anne Budenburg in Chester. I am a keen golfer at Sandiway Golf Club near Northwich, and funnily enough as soon as I mentioned that I needed implants my sister and quite a few of the ladies I play with mentioned his name and rated him highly, so I felt reassured even before I walked through the door of his Northwich practice that I would be in safe hands too.
A broken root in my mouth had caused an infection and then 5 teeth failed over a period of time. I was wearing a plate to cover the missing teeth which was OK, but I absolutely hated taking it out at night. I had four implants in total- the treatment took a bit longer than I expected but we had to wait quite a while for the infection to settle in my gums before any implant placement could take place.
Peter is a genuinely nice guy, he explains everything to you very thoroughly at each appointment. He was also very accommodating when deciding the colour and shape of my implant crowns and bridges. It was important to me that my teeth didn’t look too perfect and that I had a natural smile. It took a little bit of altering and changing to achieve this, but it seemed just as important to Peter as it was to me that we got it right.
So now the treatment is complete, I am delighted with my smile and the freedom of not having to take out my plate at night and to eat pretty much I want. My own dentist Anne Budenburg has organised a gum shield to protect my teeth at night as I grind my teeth when I sleep. I have since recommended Peter to a friend who has then gone to have treatment at the practice.
