Karolyn’s Implant story

I was referred for implant treatment by my own dentist Emily at McTooth in Sandiway where I live. Unfortunately a root canal treatment had failed and I had been left with an infection in the tip of the root. Emily duly referred me to Doctor Young who she told me specialised in difficult surgery and extractions.

Doctor Young was very calm and reassuring when we met. I was really worried about the complexity of the extraction but he reassured me that all would be fine and I believed him.

Peter always explained each procedure thoroughly and followed a strict timeline and regimen for the extraction and implant placement. He allowed the right amount of time for the surgery to heal and the implant to be successfully placed. There was always a call from a team member to check that I was OK after each surgical procedure. I was also impressed about the way he used Steve in his laboratory to ensure that the colour match on my new crown was identical to the surrounding teeth.

My job involves managing clinical trials, which obviously need a rigorous approach and I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed by Peter’s professionalism and approach to patient care. The post-operative instructions and handout were first rate – I followed them to the letter- and I am absolutely thrilled with my implant. I would have no qualms in recommending Dr Peter Young and his team to anyone needing surgery or implants.
